Found it boxtops. Wow !
Isn't she gorgeous!
Well done kat, I love to see your posts about rehoming the older cats. And it's so good that people are still prepared to take a pair rather than separate them. xx

Thanks bensmum. Yes you really know they are true cat lovers when they take two as it cost them £100.
The thought of cats in a boat makes me smile - Merlin is a girl, but she is not at all ladylike - she is clumsy and misjudges her leaps and jumps (she is stupid) - she would not have much fun on a boat. Her brother would probably love it though.

I looked on our local Cats Protection facebook page the other day - they have so many kittens at present. Though looking at the pictures makes me smile the thought that they have been abandoned makes me sad.

It must be heartbreaking (and rewarding) work.
Yes wolf - agree it must be both heartbreaking and rewarding work.
Well done kat1 - I often have a look on your threads and nice to hear of cats (and kittens) being re-homed.
Good luck - keep up the good work
I would love a job like yours, I just adore cats. I can't have one at the moment because my job takes me all over the place but when I am eventually settled in one place my first thing will be to rescue a couple of moggies.

Thanks wolf. The boat people are moored locally & when they are on the move the cats will be inside. Their last cats they had sunbathed on the roof!
Thanks xray,it's very rewarding.
how lovely! Well done you work so hard to find new homes and keep these paired animals together! My sister just took in a female that was dumped along with kittens (which most sadly died) she is very timid and has obviously not had a good previous home but is doing well and no longer hiding behind the sofa all day!
it is nice to read good news about cats for a change
Question Author
