Thanks for info carmalee......
The Waitrose ones are old Cotswold leg bar and very yummy
I have Cream Legbars which lay blue eggs and Lavender Araucanas which lay greenish-blue eggs. There is no difference in taste of course but one of my customers said she thought the ratio of yolk to white was greater in the blue ones. I have never submitted that statement to any scientific analysis!
I thought that with the waitrose ones, bigger brighter yolks

They do certainly look nice and a change from Brown or White shells.
A novelty for any children I'm sure.

This Lady's hens must have been laying like there was no tomorrow as she had Dozens of Eggs up for grabs !
I buy my eggs from work. I work on a farm. It's the legbars that lay the blue ones. We have all sorts of colours. Blue, green, dark brown, speckled. The list goes on.

Thanks for info icemaiden !
You have a nice job !
I am very lucky. We have about twenty different hens and a beautiful cockerel. Once you eat farm eggs you never go back to shop ones. The yolks are so orange and the eggs are really tasty.
