My daughter is home from Uni, and doing her placements (she's at vet school). This week she has been working at a dog kennels, who have 4 kennels set aside for dogs the dog warden need places for. You know what's coming next!
They have a little JRT bitch, who is so loving and friendly, but a real little character (are'nt they all). I'm just so tempted, but I already have two JRT's a dog and a bitch both 4 yrs old. Part of me says "what's one more", another part of me says "is it fair on my two"

What to do, help

Forgot to say, she's also about 3-4 years old!
Maybe you could take her to meet your two, and see how they get along, after a few meetings you can decide, they should be fine once they become used to each other........Good luck!......
Can't you have it on a trial run ? If it's a friendly little thing then maybe your other two will accept it. You sound as though you quite like the idea. I would be tempted too. Our JRT is on his last legs and I want to get another but hubby won't hear of it as ours is very jealous, so looks like I'll have to wait till ours goes to that great kennel in the sky !
OMG a pack of Jack Russells chaos on 12 legs

I've arranged to do just that tomorrow Welsh, but if they get on!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know what you want to do. If everybody who replied to this all said no don't do it, would you just forget about it? You obviously want to rehome this dog and I'm sure the three of them will soon be best of mates.

lol Rowen exactly, mine are so friendly but total nutters
You know the answer Chaff, this one is another member of your family :)

Have you a name for her or has she already got one?
Question Author
She's been named by the kennals as Tilly, but that would have to change as my bitch is called Tally short for Tally-ban!!!!!!!! Cant have Tilly and Tally!

The other problem is daughters next placement is dairy cattle..OMG I'll end up with cows in with the horses!
I've heard a similar sounding name for a doggy doesn't confuddle them.

How aboout Dizzy?

My rehomed wondermutt was called Suzie, and has adapted well to Lucy
Question Author
Like dizzy Alba, or I could rename freddie, Silly (he is) then have Tilly, Tally and Silly

I'm convincing myself now!
Chaff, you're already convinced :)

This time next week you'll be here saying the three lovely pooches are driving you nuts but you wouldn't have it any other way xx

It is fair on your 2 pooches, they need another friend :) (I wish I was able to help homeless dogs and cats therefore I support them who can and do)

Thanks Alba, I'm great with animals, just not so good with people! I think I surround myself with them so I can avoid people (except when at work) life's easier that way.
my sentiments exactly Chaffinch!
I think you have already decided to offer this new little dog a home, I hope she settles with your two and hope she has a great life with you :D
I understand your point of view. Animals are straight faced, humans can be two faced.

Please try to post a piccy of the three cuties in a few weeks :)
Question Author
I'll try and post a pic, but hopeless at I.T

Hold on I havent got her yet...........................

I agree Alba, easier to avoid people in my opinion (note to self get out more!)
