just got a 14 week old Bengal kitten,

how much food should i give him per day and how often?

he doesn't seem to like biscuits that much, but wants to eat meat. he seems to be hungry all the time, but i don't want to over feed him. He has got 4 sachets of Felix kitten food per day (about half sachet at a time) so far but still wants more. on the box it just says "feed a little often"

Thanks for the pics. He is lovely!!
what have you called it...?
Rowan, Steg has said he is called Charley further up the thread x
I would be too frightened to have a cat like that as I would expect someone to nick him as soon as he went outside.
Thanks I missed that...looks a bit evil did you see those amber eyes.... A rival for barmaids asbo by the look of it... and so young too
I like CD's pussy cat - but our cats are just smaller versions.

If I were to get a pedigree I would get a Maine Coon - mega cuddly. Wonder if AB will accept the breed name without censoring it.

Your kitten is beautiful steg - will he be an 'only child' or do you have other cats or dogs for him to terrorise?
What a beautiful kitten :)

It makes me so sad that my oh won't let me have cats any more.
I've got a female Silver Bengal, she's about 18 months old and a female Savannah who's just turned 1yr old. They both get 2 pouches per day and always keep their dried food( Royal Canin) topped up and that seems to be enough for them. I would recommend getting your little guy micro chipped and insured, they're just too attractive to allow out without putting some form of precautions in place should they disappear. Temperament wise the Bengal is the more aggressive of the pair but the Savannah has the upper had with size even if she is the more docile of the two. I've found that as cats go they make excellent companions and will follow me around wether in or out of the house. Just one thing though, dead birds...... they seem to revel in bringing them home, even had a live one brought home screeching the place down....... Enjoy your Bengal, he is so cute
daffy - get another OH - simple!

;-)
Given a free choice I'd have maine coons too as they are both exquisitely pretty and overpoweringly loving... you would never be alone with an MC they will follow you everywhere and love you to death
If only it were that simple Wolf. lol

Truth is, I have lung disease and a mild allergy to cat dander so it wouldn't be 100% advisable for me to be owned by cats again... I did say to OH I would take piriton every day but he won't listen :(
if the allergy is mild talk to your gp about desensitisation so that's that argument potentially gone...and how about a rex their woolly coat is less of a problem and as they love water regular swims in the bath keep the allergens down
Aw steg, he's gorgeous.... please make sure you take him for his jabs and get him microchipped, at least he can be identified if he goes for a wander.... and unless you want to breed from him, please get his bits seen to before he's six months old. He is a super boy, we shall look forward to hearing about his progress!

PS - it may say "feed four sachets a day" on the box, but I think that's too much. Our great furries have a sachet in the morning, and a sachet in the evening, and biscuits in between.
So he won't grow into a tiger then? What a pity, I got all excited then, picturing it. Seriously - pretty little kitten, lovely colour.
their spotting gives them their pocket leopard or pocket panther nicknames the golden Bengals look like small Jaguars the palest silvers like snow leopards or ocelots
