I have a mini Daxi puppy and she loves fruit!

The problem is that i have read in a dachshund specific book that a great treat is to freeze grapes for them to play with and eat.

However is the kennel club puppy book it says grapes are poisonous to all dogs?
Does anyone know if this is true??

thanks for any help!

They can cause kidney failure.
Yes grapes are toxic. So are raisins and other related fruits also the pips from apples, pears etc. Try giving pieces of carrot, or apple without the core.
Try freezing blueberries instead, both my dogs love them
Yes they are, I just found out a few weeks back, I have just removed two grape vines from my garden. I'm sure my dogs have eaten many grapes but not worth taking the chance.
I never realised this until quite recent years and our old dog absolutely loved them and ate them quite often. Fortunately, he lived until a ripe old age. Sultanas and raisins are also poisonous, as are onions.

My little dog absolutely adores going blackberrying with me. The just loves them. Between us we don't bring many home!
One of my greyhounds would pick the blackberries off the bush himself pulling them gently till they came off then ending up with the juice all over his white muzzle.
One of our dogs did that with the wild plums in our garden Lankeela. We wondered why she was having the trots so often before we discovered what she was doing. All of the bottom branches were empty!!
