Everynight one of our dogs [ a rescue shar pei/staff cross] after her food about 6pm she goes upstairs and lies on our bed and sleeps, its her one bit of luxury after having a bad start in life and she jumps off when we retire.Night before last she absolutley refused to go upstairs, stayed downstairs with us until bedtime and made sure we went before her.
This is a family house owned by the same family since 1937, did she sense a ghost or what ?Last night she was back to her usual routine.Any ideas ?

theres no way anyone can say she saw or sensed anything, maybe it was just cold or she was feeling unwell and wanted the company

one strange occurance doesnt equal a haunting :)
It was a protest that you hadn't washed the bed cover for a while.
It is the shar pei in her, those dogs are crazy (in a good way). My son has had one for almost two years and he never listens to adults. One of the kids only has to say "don't" in a nice tone and he listens. He also growls and barks while dreaming when he's asleep.

sorry Hopkirk but we put a cotton throw over the duvet especially for the dog and change it every couple of days but you did make me smile ! also being daft pet owners we put the radiator on for her !she is soo obedient we couldnt beleive our luck when we got her 5 years ago but if you shout at her she cowers obviously her previous owner must have been cruel, but your right wildwood our other shar pei now 12 yrs and we had from a puppy he never listens to anything we tell him over the years and him having mellowed we have come to an amicable truce.
