Why do most people put things on e-bay at night, so those of us who only have access to computers during the day miss most of the 'last bidding' war. Twice this week I have bit on 2 x beautiful German Art Deco clocks (xmas present for the BF), and being pipped at the last post. S'not fair. I suppose I'll just have to technologise my home, which I have resisted for years. Or get a dingle dongle that actually works at more than 2 miles an hour.

Oh, sorry - Morning all !!
grab a dingle dongle firmly with both hands salla :D

I'm on my third which can be temperamental tho

It's just that I've got into work, checked My E-Bay and found I've lost out on 2 beautiful art deco clocks that would have made a great pressie. I obviously have good taste though - they did go for a surprising amount, rather larger than my maximum bids. But I can't resist a scuffle or a challenge, and know I would have upped it.
Back to the drawing board (or should I say, back to work.......?!!)
What you do with your dingle dongle is entirely up to you. :-)

The last one I had (orange) was soooooooooo slow.
Haven't had an orange one, T mob wasn't too bad, Using vodaphone now with not a lot of complaints :)
Time to go. Have a happy day girls. xxxxx
Am I being thick, but what good would a dingle dongle be without a computer?
Question Author
You're not thick! I do sometimes have a laptop....
Salla, get a snipe account ,then you don't even need to be at a computer to bid on an item, it'll do it for you.

Basically what it does it bid your highest amount for you in the last 5 seconds. Obviously if someone has bid a higher amount than you, you'll still lose it, but you stand a better chance.

Nice one boo, thanks. Never heard of one - how do I get one?
I think ebay has a program that will bid for you in your absence, you can find it on the site itself.
i guess people put things on at night because they work and their office computers wont let them go onto ebay?
Question Author
You could well be right bedknobs ;-)

Thanks everyone, esp boo and cazz..
our workplace have recently stopped us going on ebay. Humph!
I use goofbay for if I'm not around. Works a treat.
-- answer removed --
You don't have to be there, as long as your maximum bid is high enough you will get the item.
