Hi, my mog has started kneading his bed & sucking on his blanket before settling down for a kip. He's only just begun doingthis - any ideas why?

Mine do this all the time in winter, they have started using their beds again as the colder weather is approaching. How old is your boy?
Question Author
He's about 4 & he has started using his bed more just recently - he's out & about all night & then dives into the cat cave after breakfast. It's odd as he never really liked the blanket before now but he's suddenly got really attached to it.
My cat suckles on me. It's comfort.

I didn't realise how much spit cats produce...
I just have a feeling that it happens more in females than in males. One of ours does it, she crawls on my stomach, "pounds" me and then settles by sucking my shirt or dressing gown.
One of mine does that when I wear a particular cardigan. He snuggles his head into the crook of my arm and sucks it. As ummmm said they produce a lot of dribble!!

It is just a comfort thing!
I;ve gt 3 boys, sqad, and they all do it - messalina, it's perfectly normal cat-settling-down behaviour, don't worry about it.
barmaid/ummmm......lucky cats ;-)
boxtops....:-)....my theory out of the window....UNLESS.........the´re gay ;-)
He knows he's lucky Sqad ;-)
LOL sqad, not gay, just neutered!
Question Author
Definitely neutered, don't think he's gay & yep, loads of drool. Thank you very much for the advice & the laughs.
