I'm putting my dog into kennels for a week and although some places require the vaccination for kennel cough others do not so not sure if it is needed.

What do you suggest and does anyone know the cost?

Thanks

This depends on the kennels. Check with them, but please note that if it is given within two weeks of him going in they may not accept him, as a live vaccine is used and it could end up giving the other dogs kennel cough. The vaccine usually only lasts for six months, so if you kennel on a regular basis make sure of the dates.

Personally I never give a kennel cough vaccine, on the one occasion any of my dogs have caught kennel cough I have treated it with antibiotics. It is rarely a problem, unless you have a very young or very old dog, but the vet will advise and treat the dog accordingly.
You've only got a couple of days left, but it's pet vaccination month this month (March). Go to:

and you can print out a voucher for 30 off vaccinations at a local vets.
