I have some left over mushrooms, will my rabbits be OK if I feed them the mushrooms? They're uncooked button mushrooms. Thanks

hi, Rabbits stomachs are easily upset, it would very much enjoy the mushrooms but would end up with diarrhoea, they have to get used to veg at a very early age. a good quality rabbit food has everything they need. hope that helps

Hi daiseychain,

Thanks for your reply. They're both 15 months old and have been given a selection of fruit and veg everyday, as well as their rabbit food, so their tum's will be fine in that respect.

I wasn't sure if mushrooms were bad for them like lettuce is. I'll throw the shrooms in tonight.

Thanks
Think you really need to check in a rabbit book to see if they are ok or not. I certainly would't give them to mine. Rabbits can get terrible digestive problems even if they are swapped over with there dried food without introducing it slowly. Hope if you do put them in your rabbits hutch that they have more sense than to eat them.
