Help With Ipad

Help please regarding emails on my iPad. I have 671 in my sent folder. I cannot get rid of them. There is no way to do it en bloc. I can delete them one by one but with that number it will take forever. Anyone any ideas?

I don't think there is a "select all" button but you can open sent, tap edit at the top, a circle appears to the left of each message, tap each circle then tap trash or delete at the bottom, should work.

I have done that but to have to do it 671 times is a bit much. It took me a long time to fathom out how to delete the trash ones en bloc. I hoped that I could do the same with sent ones.

Look on the bright side, you have to tap 671 circles but you only have to tap trash once, LOL.

I vigorously tapped for a while, suddenly all gone. Didn't do it long enough though only about 20 times, now it is saying I have 829 sent items. When I click on sent folder there is nothing there. Anyone help please.
