How do you stop a 7 month old puppy eating every stone and all other rubbish it finds. Does this even on the lead when I try to restrain her. Definitely not hungry has 3 good meals a day.

Put a muzzle on the dog when you take it out in the short term.
go to obedience training classes and as the trainer to focus on the 'leave' command. Once you are confident that the dog will drop anything when told you can stop using the muzzle when on the lead, but might want to keep using it when off the lead.
You have to take something with you that is more interesting than what the pup is finding, i.e. treats or toys and use distraction techniques - as soon as you think the pups is going to scavenge for something make exciting noises and throw a ball or ragger, run the other way and when the pup comes after you give it a treat. Use your exercise time as a training time, and do lots of little bits of heelwork on the lead, changing direction, dropping the dog into the down and then calling it to you, and give lots of fuss and treats. You must make being with you more exciting than what it is finding.

May have to try the muzzle, I often end end up using a pocketful of treats each walk. She will drop for a treat but think she's wise to that now because she picks up more knowing she'll get a treat. I have a very crafty Weimaraner.
Oh weimaraner....yes very smart dogs indeed. Can you teach her to carry a toy in her mouth? this can help with the picking up of things. How old is she? Until my current two (wei x gsp) I had always had weimaraners, I love the breed.
