no electric for 27 hrs

since 3.30 sunday afternoon until 6.00pm tonight (27 hours) we have had no electricity( eon is our provider) i am sure we are entitled to some compensation over this?
have had to throw away about £30 of freezer stuff ie; meat and chicken!!
god you dont realise how much you miss the old electric, just had a shower WONDERFUL!!
anyone had this ordeal before and did you get any where??
sick to death of continuous lies fed to us about what was happenning by so called eon emergency staff totally useless the lot of you!!!!
