For the past few days we've had temperatures around plus 7 and 8 with lots of rain, and a lot of our snow is disappearing: I love it...............But we'll get dumped on again!!

At first I found it exciting as I'm a big kid when it comes to snow, but what we had didn't last more than a day, and you just end up with the brown sludgey mess and the damp. Now I am SSOO fed up of the cold, I can't stand it.

It started snowing here on the edge of Herts/Essex about half an hour ago and it's just begun to settle. We've had snow, ice, torrential rain, floods, more ice and now more snow. Happy days! We will manage here but I feel sorry for all those people who's homes have been damaged in the floods this week and who have really suffered in the rain and snow

I live about 25/30 miles north of York,At 12.00 we had nothing now we have over 4 inches and its still snowing.I was supposed to go to York this afternoon but decided the fire and a cup of chocolate (with a piece of cake) was a better option.Glad I did.

We must be the only people in the whole of the country who have had no snow !
It has snowed but hasn't laid at all .A little bit very early this morning but it had vanished by about 8am .We have had torrential rain though and gales of wind .
We live in Norfolk not far from the most easterly point in the country .

I loved it when the snow first came down heavy and settled. Everything looked just like an old fashioned Christmas card in our village, it was stunning. Once it starts to get brown and slushy though, it's nasty.

Due to the recent weather, all the ground around here is waterlogged now, so we've all the sludgy mud to contend with. Now THAT does get on my nerves. It gets walked through the house, gets into my car, all our shoes and boots get caked in it....GRRRR!

Here in scotland we have had loads of snow since early doors,had some rain though so expect it will be gone soon enough,hope elcie45 can update me on dunfermline!!!

I've never enjoyed the snow (in adulthood, loved it as a kid). I know what you mean about the boots, Aprilis :o(
