Problems accessing Tiscali Broadband

For the last 2 weeks I have been having great difficulty accessing Tiscali Broadband.

One day I can try about 30 times at different periods of the day with no joy. The following day I am in at the first attempt.

A message invariably appears at the bottom of the screen stating that Tiscali Broadband is connected, before it comes up with 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'.

Have any other users had this problem? If so, what is the solution?

I have no trouble with Tiscali lately. I would check your Router for internet connection by looking at the display lights. The far end one when lit usually means a connection with Tiscali is made. If unlit the problem may be with your router. Typing 192.198.2.1 in Internet Explorer usually allows you to see the settings.

Mine's fine too, but I have had a similar problem in the past, I rang Tiscali, and they advised me to disconnect the router from the phone line for a few seconds, and then plug it back in again, causing the router to reset, this worked fine for me on a number of occasions, haven't had the problem recently, but may be worth a try when you can't connect..............hope this helps...............welsh
