I think all advertising for holidays to Portugal should be banned. How can anyone trust a country whose police has handled this case in such a messy way? I would defiantly not be taking my family there again. I also think that rich personalities like Sir Cliff Richard who lives there should uproot and move to a country that would spend the tax that he pays on his vineyards etc. On a better police force.
I have also decided that because I have now got the hump with Sir Cliff Richard, I will try and sell all the records that I have him and send any money that I receive to Madeleine's fund. If I can't sell them I know just the place for them on the 5th November!

......we the public should allow the police to investigate fully and present their evidence in full before we accuse them of mismanaging the case, as I suspect that evidence has been kept back as not to predjuidice the investigation as this is common practice in this type of case.

EthrielTD - I can agree with most of your comments. I sincerely hope that you are right and that the police have conducted a thorough investigation, but I have doubts about that, In the first instance they did not seal off the crime scene, Whatever DNA, forensic evidence that was there that could have proved the presece of an abductor, or implicated the parents could surely have been destroyed or contaminated. Also, is it not possible that an abductor could have come in and taken the child without leaving any trace?
I cannot agree with your statement that the people who have posted the most abusive evil comments about the parents,can take it back . If the parents are innocent , these people are just heaping more pain onto an already deeply hurt couple, and you cant take that back. The money that has been sent has been sent in good faith, with the best of intentions. I believe that a lot of children may benefit from what money is funding. It has raised awareness, and there is talk of setting up a European alert system which will kick in as soon as a child goes missing. It has raised peoples awareness of the child trafficking that goes on, particularly in Eastern Europe. I hope it is not just talk, and that it will happen. I think that is something we should all push for.
We should keep the ball rolling, and then even if Madeleine is not found, or it is proved that the parents have murdered her then at least something good will have come out of something so tragic.

Spottychops � I think that you have a very good point. As apparently there is a clique gang of fools out there who are mind bent on throwing insults at people just because they are genuinely concerned for a missing little girl. I guess that I to may need anger management as I find it horrendous to read some of the sick comments that have been sent by this self confessed band of very strange people.
