Anyone know the theme tune used on several football programs in the past, its 70's theme (trumpets etc), its also used on local radio football programs too. (its not the world of sport one)

One of the most popular is a tune called "The Big Match", as used by ITV. Can't think off any examples off hand on telly, but if you are listening to Doon Mchean's (I Know bad spelling....) "Doon Your Way", currently repeated on BBC 7, you'll hear it as part of an advert in the show.
