Yes they are yellow, well mustard coloured, they may be a goos idea, but are they being inputted retrospectively? If we scroll back are these now appearing in their multitudes and creatinga rainbow effect along the way. Is the ed's box still gonna be pink?
Can we have a nominated colour for when it is ouyr birthday? (that was not a serious suggestion) oh, yes it was.

Question Author
oh oh oh and another thought, if the person posting is using an imposterer, can they be technologically painted black pretty please?
Am I colour blind? The author boxes are pink!
I am seeing a peachy pink too. Not quite the same as the Ed's pink was, but definitely not yellow.
pink? Lordy. Well, I am a bit colour-blind, but what I'm getting is a member of the orange/yellow family, similar to the colour around this Type Your Answer Here panel as I write. Nothing remotely like Editorial Pink, which is nearer the crimson end of the spectrum.

Yes, they have been applied retrospectively.
jno- are your regular AB colours orange and red?
I wonder if all our screen settings are set differently.
Mine are orange/mustard
Red
Grey
and now pink/peach
omg you are right, drestie... I've only just noticed that they do actually appear in what is to me a very pale salmon-pink panel. All I'd seen before was the words 'Question Author', in yellowish; the whole panel doesn't become noticeable on my screen unless I stand to one side a bit. Sorry about that... I did say I was colourblind, and I meant it.
Mine does the same, jno. I have to tilt my laptop screen back a bit to see it. Glad we're all on the same page now though :)
Have posted on B&S in reply to Roughquest Q.

Use laptop:

Question background: burnt sienna
Post answer bkgrd: light sand
Author box and sub Q/report Q/Post answer in soft pink
Topics/Welcome back/Title above Q pillar box red
topic cats: grey/blue and highlighted in golden orange

names in boring grey, unless like ummmm1, your green LOL
well I just happened to have my Dulux shade card handy, as you do, & it would appear to be Apricot White.....
still what my son classes as beige tho'....
It depends on which version of Windows you are on. In XP you will see yellow, whereas in Windows 98 it will appear pink. In Win 2000 you won't get a box at all, just mustard-yellow text.
I've got windows XP whiffey and mine is pink
ummmmmmmm, some releases of XP were shipped without yellow or green. It sounds like you have one of those. Download a new set of colours.
LOL, whiffey. I can just see a bunch of Qs popping up today in technology asking how to download all the new colours.
How do I do that whiffey?
Unfortunately ummmmmmmmmmm it's quite difficult. The download you need is called winxpcolors.zip, but the dangerous bit is that you have first to uninstall your current colours (from control panel - and temporarily rendering your pc black and white), and also all your fonts, which means you lose all the letters. Then you have to manipulate the zip by mouse alone, and sometimes the zip is corrupt, in which case you are stuck with black and white internet without any letters.

Stick with what you've got and make pretend.
Excuse me whiffey, but I too have XP and a lovely shade of soft pink, which I much prefer anyway to yellow peril !!!

Besides, it matches my eyes ^^ lol

I have Windows XP Pro and mine is a peachy/beigy color. What I can't see is why we care WHICH color it is:)

Sorry guys - just had to give you a hard time this morning:)
But we do, we do care BBWCHATT LOL ;-)

I think that when someone mentioned the background colour for 'Question Author', it freaked a few people out because they were seeing a different colour to that mentioned and thought something was wrong with their eyesight!! This then sparked a general discussion as to the hues we all were getting on our computers.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, BB ours is coming to the end,,,,,,,,,

☺xxx
