They give the option of comprig holiday locations & hotels
I was looking into staying somewhere nice for christmas - Bath seemed to have some super places, and of course, loads in London. However, I've always opted to go abroad, simply because of the cost. For what a few days, including xmas day/dinner etc, will cost for 2, you may as well fly somewhere totally different and have a real adventure. San Francisco was last christmas's trip - what a city! And you can do your gift buying there (for each other at least) and so you might even save a bit of dosh!
last year i went to edinburgh for christmas at channings hotel - it was superb but expensive .... Nearly 650 quid for two of us all told (not includng the travelling). I found the worst bit to be no leftovers to make turkey and pickle sandwiches out of!
