Is this still in use today among kids for someone who starts a street game and then 'sneaks off ' before the game ends and is then called a sneak off and finds it not so easy the next time he/she wants to join in?

My daughter used the term "She slyed off",(sly-ed). When I asked her to explain this it means her friend "sneaked off" to play with someone else. I think this must be the 21st century version of "sneak off".
