If it goes " i go out on friday night and I come back on Saturday morning", then the song is "friday night, saturday morning" I am not sure who did the original but there is an excellent lo-fi cover by Nouvelle Vague (who have also made great covers of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and "Making Plans For Nigel" amongst others)
