Which are your most favourite ads from the past..Any that remains in your memories from the past. Can be 10 days ago or 10 years ago.

Any ad that you can remember for 10 years is a very good advert!

I can't remember when this ad was broadcast, but one that was a favourite was a Fosters Advert and there was a guy saying "Water from Majorca don't taste like it oughtta!" Classic!

The Carling Black Label one....Dambusters

Tango esp the Blackcurrant one....boxing ring on the Cliffs of Dover with the Tango Spokesman asking some French student to have a fight...

Of course the Orange Tango Man is a classi

And the milk advert.....Accrington Stanley...

And BTW wasnt it Heineken that did the "Water in Majorca"??

The one I loved was for Kit Kat. Bloke waiting ages to photograph pandas in the zoo. As soon as he turns his back to eat his Kit Kat, pandas emerge on roller skates and procede to do a full on dance routine. Silly but hilarious!!

Just remembered another. McDonalds with Alan Shearer. Him walking round Newcastle? droning on about his home town in the most tedious, cringeworthy way.At the time he was probably Englands most famous football player, so you presume its serious and its soooo embarassing to watch. Then he leaves MD's with his Big Mac and the one assisstant says to the other "Is that Alan Shearer? Bit boring int he?" Classic
Currently liking the vauxhall ones with the kids talking like the parents but then I'm sad!

That was Heinekin J1_69.

I used to like the fosters ones with Paul Hogan and also the holsten Pils ones where they used bit's of real films cut in with Gryff Rhys Jones.

The one with the horrible boy who teases the baby elephant with his last rolo then when they're grown up the eleohant sees him again and smacks him with his trunk.

Dr Pepper one wen he gets trapped in the fridge and has to take all his clothes off and is rushed out the supermarket with the tele crew there filming and everything.

Dr Pepper! Whats the worst that can happen!

One from way back is; "He's finishing his Murray Mint, the too good to hurry mint." It appeared very frequently on TV but I don't think had much influence on sales. At least one didn't see many dsplays in the shops and I am not aware of friends - or my family -rushing out to buy the product.

It was suggested many moons ago that some TV adverts were made purposely to annoy viewers. An annoying ad. may make you say - 'I'll never buy a packet of xxxxxx as long as I live'. But months later when looking for a detergent on the supermarket shelves that product would 'shout out' at you because it is a familiar name and we are reluctant to buy a new unknown product even if cheaper

There's a lot of money to be made if you can produce adverts which bring in the sales!

From the past I loved the Smash ads ,The I could do with a D ad. And the Quiet Doreen's having her Soreen ad. Oh I must not forget the Cookeen and Ready Brek ads . Currently I just love the Brother Multi function Printer ad. The look on the mans face is priceless.
The Guinness white horses, and the baby with the loo roll
the adverts for vauxhall, which sponsored the world cup matches France '98, it preceeded the ITV matches, best i remember was with two holland fans talkin about car colours. brilliant.

Loosehead, yeah maybe it was Heineken, I'm not sure but will give you the benefit of the doubt cos I can't remember. Also I'm outnumbered in that dept!

Recently, I found the John Smiths ads with Peter Kay quite amusing but not a classic. Also, IBM ads are witty and funny too!

Team nemo, that Dr. Pepper ad was hilarious and was quietly laughing to myself while reading your post! Lol!

Also, another one came to mind but can't remember how or what the ad was about, but definately a Mini Cheddars advert. And remember it was at least 5 or 6 years ago..Anyways if anyone can remember that one plz that would be great!

Hey guys, also I think there could be a separate thread about the "Most annoying ads!" That would be quite funny, and I can imagine everyone cringing just thinking about it as they're writing! Lol
The Irn Bru advert where the family are singing at a piano and the mum lets slip during the song that she used to be a man.
I enjoy the Hewlett Packard ones where photos are held up at various angles and interspersed with a live sequence. Very impressive!

I used to like the Dime Bar advert with the weird guy on talking about Armadillos.

"Smoothy on the outside, crunchy on the inside. Armadillos!"

"You're a bit thick really aren't you?" "Hmm!"
