Its been suggested it's Lujon by Henry Mancini which has been used by Nestle. Theres a sample / download here

The ad was designed to hark back to the glamour days of air travel. The music sounds like several tunes from the era, Lujon included, but according to http://www.nma.co.uk/imaawards04/Travel.aspx (Inter-active Marketing & Advertising Awards 2004), the music was specially commissioned for the ad.

The music was composed especially for Thomson by Amber Music who create short memorable music pieces that leave you wanting more...Theres a sample on the Thimson site

You say that it is imitating tunes of the era including "lujon". Can you give any more examples please? I quite like this genre and want to know about more songs of the era.
