think its too early for boaty even though will see if he is about later on. Can't sleep, hence being on here at this unholy hour....
Shall we have an inane natter about nothing important?
Me neither Emmie. Its the middle of the night and I am pottering about online. I know I might be better off reading my book, but when I am in this mood I cant concentrate on reading.
Question Author
morning 1ozzy and maydup, yes lets, the weather is inane enough i guess.
Hi Emmie & Maydup, grey and overcast in my neck of the woods today.
No rain worst of luck.
Question Author
maydup, i couldn't concentrate on reading either, hence being on here, but i am not sure how long i will last, perhaps till boaty comes aboard.

by the way the weather is changeable, but mild for this time of year. Not actually raining so that's a good thing.
That might send us to sleep Emmie!
Question Author
are you feeling better 1ozzy, the other day you sounded so fed up with things. Have you heard about the job as yet, i sure hope you get it..
Question Author
maydup it might but for the moment i have my coffee and am content with that
I think I have a better than average chance Emmie, waiting for heavy machinery to be delivered. Will chat with him later today or tomorrow.

A change would be nice, it would be a good attitude adjuster I hope.

How are you keeping?
I might creep back to bed now as I have to work today, and a couple of hours sleep will just help me along. Thanks for posting and being around this morning, I might see you back here later.
Question Author
ok 1ozzy, but this getting up in in the early hours isn;t doing me much good to be honest.

maydup sleep well my love
Question Author
good luck with the job lets hope its what you want right now.
I don't quite know what I want, late term mid life crisis ;-)

I'd have a go at nearly anything, as long as it's different.
Question Author
well being a quarryman is certainly different, is that what you really want, or is a means to an end, get a job, any job and be content with that?
I've had a variety of jobs over the years, ranging from mechanic, welder, air conditioning technician to computor administrator, logistics management, quality assurance and then self employed transport operator. Sold my business a couple of years ago and made furniture, mainly for enjoyment.

Can't afford to retire yet, don't want to go back to anything I've done before.

Because I now live in a remote area options are limited.
Something to do that I haven't done before would be nice.
Question Author
you have certainly had an interesting career, perhaps being a quarryman will be the job for you, who knows, and if you live in a remote area as you say there are limitations to what you can achieve.
I get bored easily ;-/
A challenge is better than............
I'm hoping it's like being in a "big boys sandpit".

Big powerful toys to play with ;-)
