Snowed here (Cambridgeshire) yesterday for about 5 mins. Bit sloppy wet flakes. When I got home this morning it had just started again. Sun is out now, but sky is very leaden so I think we are in for some later.

I have coal, logs, Pinot, food and a cuddly cat so I dont actually need to leave the house until Saturday :)

Personally I think now is the right time to stock up on gas heaters and a gas hob, sleeping bags, thermals in case of electricity and boiler failure, antibacterial wet wipes to wash with and plenty of imperishable foods such as oats, rice, dried pasta, longlife or powdered milk and canned goods if you have the funds in case people can’t get out of their homes this winter due to record breaking cold and snowfall.

We had snow for about 10 minutes at lunch time, sky looks full of it.

After three power cuts the winter before last, we invested in a small diesel generator. Haven't had a power cut since. Although on Tuesday just gone, we got a text apologising for the outage that didn't include us.
