How wealthy are the proclaimers

Please settle an argument - did they make enough out of their pop career to still be rich or are they skint now? Alternatively, number of record sales would allow me to guess if anyone knows that?

i doubt very much that they made enough to still be rich but they had one very big hit in america with '500 miles' which was used in the film benny and joon and this song is also played at scotland footie games so my guess would be that royalties from airplay alone keeps them afloat.

I would imagine though that having a track on the Shrek soundtrack would earn them mega bucks or am I wrong?

I don't know how rich they are but they have just released a new album so their carrer is not yet over, by the way the album is a cracker.
