Jeff Conway's family have decided to switch off his life support machine after doctors have told them thathe will not emerge from his coma, caused by an overdose of prescription drugs.

The actor has been battling drink and drug addicitions for some years, and was becoming involved with the Scientology movement after fellow 'Grease' star John Travolta came to his aid.

Grease is one of my all-time favourite films - I shall be sad next time I watch it - Jeff Conway was only sixty years old.

Seems such a waste, andy.......
Very sad :(
That is sad news andy, I heard about him being in a coma earlier in the week but hadn't heard any update since. RIP.
Awww, now that is sad, what a tragic life he had towards the end...he shall always fondly be remembered for starring in that classic musical Grease...
Sad
that's a shame. I'm not usually a fan of modern musicals, but Grease is just wondereful in so many ways.

I gather he also appeared in a reality TV show called Celebrity Rehab, which has a grim ring to it.
Blooming Nora, I'd read he had had probelms with prescription drugs.

RIP Jeff (He wasn't too bad in Babylon 5 either)
and Taxi
What a shame - I never did get a hickie from Kenickie....
Sad news, loved him in Grease and Babylon 5. RIP.
This is sad news, but I think I should point out that his surname is Conaway.
In the Mail (yes I know) it says that his ex-girlfriend will not allow the family to turn it off. How can she rule over them?
