Unlocking Vodafone handset.

I want to unlock a vodafone 527 handset. I've tried going onto the Vodafone website, but I'm having no joy. Please help !

I did. They applied for the code and it's still pending - two days later !!

They can't do it without the code, and the code is still pending...

I took it into the Vodafone shop and the guy told me to go onto the website. I looked on the website but can't find out how to get the code. I'm at my wits end here. :-(

How long have you had the phone? We had to own our phone for a year before O2 would issue a code to unlock it. Also cost £15 to unlock it.

I've had this phone since Sept '08. I'm not one for shiny, fancy gadgets, so I'm not looking to upgrade. I just want to unlock the damn thing.

Can I go back to the vodafone shop and insist upon their giving me the right code?

I had virtually the same difficulty but, if you've been with them for a while, you can ask Vodafone, very politely, to unlock it for as you want to give ti to a daughter/grandchild/whatever and, they did it for me as I wanted to pass the phone on to grandson :-) B.

I used http://www.unlockthatmobile.com/ to unlock my phone. All vodafone models were listed and supported. Got the code after some hours that I sent payment. I was infact quite impressed with service given.
