Dear All,

It has come to my attention that there is a growing trend of users asking "Why was my question removed?" or "Why was my question reported?"

Please understand, we will not be responding to questions like this.

Questions are reported by other users - we have no control over this. Questions we remove are removed because they transgress site rules.

Official: All Appeals Will Fall On Deaf Ears (Unless It Is Clearly A Mistake On Our Part).

There is simply no need to be worried about your removed post count, or the amount of questions reported. If you're account is still active, you're doing okay! Please do not consider it a "smear on your character" to have questions removed.

I just wanted to put this out there to try and nip this trend in the bud.

Apologies for being grumpy.

I still don't know what one is. C-F understands these things, most of the rest of us don't! Help!

That is a problem Boxtops. I wish it would encourage users not to "feed the trolls"! Alas, it doesn't always work like this!

As the the RSS curry - not sure?

I am off to my favourite curry house this weekend in Leicester. It is called Jamal and is worth a look if anyone is ever heading to the Braunstone Gate area.

All the best

What, past the watford gap? Have they not bl00dy sealed that yet?!
Question Author
We track users who report the most. We have a "heavy reporter" metric - so it is easy to see when we should ignore some reports.

Ha! Thanks China. Sadly they have not managed it yet it seems!

I do like the Avatar by the way.

Custom made daaaling don'tchaknow...
Do you tell them off for doing it? I'm sure some just lurk in the shadows reporting.
Good Q umm - I have (thankfully) never had a tell-off email from AB, so I don't know the circs under which you get a personal letter from the Ed.
Question Author
I think telling them off would validate the opinion that reported questions matter? They don't!

I could accuse you of stealing. It doesn't mean you have done anything. Only the action really counts. I.e. when we get the ban-hammer out.

You get a personal email from me if you're one or more of the following:

1. Nice
2. Really Worried About Something Important
3. Really Outstandingly Annoying
4. Dreadfully Confused

"4. Dreadfully Confused"

I should get at least one email a day then :)
use RSS feeds a lot - but depends on site. Mine are based on iphone apps and a couple of blog posts. I used to have BBC RSS feeds, but there were too many - something which I think would be a problem with AB ones
I've never had a personal e-mail, not once in 3 years.
and I'm nice. and sometimes dreadfully confused.. :-(
Salla, you and me both then, I'll let you know when mine arrives!
Question Author
True enough OEV. I think it might be good if you have a cracking debate going on, but you also have to pop to the shops? You can keep up with the madness on your iPhone with ease in the fruit and veg section?

Chuck - You seem anything but confused.

I'm nice....where's my email?

One of the old Ed's wrote in his blog that if anyone consistently reports out of malice will be banned themselves.
Question Author
Your confusion is beyond competent Salla.

Ahem, Ed !

It's St. George's day.............if we are having a new logo to reflect that please can we have it soon ?

And if not.................why ?
Is that a compliment Ed? Not quite sure... ;-)
No Salla....he just knows you :-)
