As two O.A.P.s who have been married for longer than AB has existed, we do wonder the basis on which some members have established their Usernames.

It's obvious that ours was 'home-made' to allow either or both of us to append a signature; which on this occasion is.........Viv & Ron.

Mine is named after our deceased cat.
I wanted to be "seagull" but someone has taken it.

The person who has taken "seagull" never comes on and uses it.

What a waste.
Gotcha Rinkins! Sorry. And golly, that's a glamorous piccy innit?
Was the cat called "Carlton23" ?

Or had you had 23 cats, all called "Carlton" ?
The name JoggerJayne gives a lovely vision in the mind.

Seagull just gives an abstract view of a bird *** on you.
... depositing a white mark ....
Mine is kind of a job related play on words. Plus I like to think of spending as much time as possible in the pub.
Haha, very good Barmaid! I like your thinking on your name, very clever!
eth and ron are the real names of my late parents, although my mum was never known as eth because she hated it and used her middle name instead. it's also the name of a comedy couple from years ago, i think june whitfield was eth but it was way before my time. i share this one with my husband but sometimes would like to distance myself from some of his replies, he's a bit of a wind-up merchant and enjoys confrontation which i don't. he usually sticks to the law section, or technology though, whereas i tend to stick to body and soul, food and drink, and sometimes home and garden. interesting question, viv and ron :)
When I was trying to think of a name my best friend walked in to the room see below

Hi Viv & Ron - what a lovely thread you've started! The name I wanted had already been taken (grrr) so I just used my initials (how boring) and to make matters worse I hit the wrong button and they came up as capitals. (Makes note to ask Ed if he will change them to small letters). Regards to you both, Judy
It's possible I suppose....
23 is just a number I stuck on the end of carlton. I`ll never forget him, and still feel sad even now when we had him `put down`. Sorry, I`m crying.
