Afternoon guys good to see some of you have noticed already but in case you haven't...Can you all please take a look at the new AB Ed blog? It highlights key issues which are clearly causing some problems amongst AB users. Thanks AB Ed

Ah Ed! Are you the culprit who is highlighting certain topical threads in pink all over AB?

I would imagine you are right idalovett. The questions in pink (in News) are very sensible and I think AB staff have asked them to 'raise the tone' of the site, which certainly needs doing at the moment.

I agree. As a newbie I have spent a lot of time in reading back through pages of posts on topics and have been surprised at some comments that I have read. I like this forum and the interaction but feel reluctant to post some questions because I think I will be laughed at rather then receive help and advice, so maybe a pink "pinned" topic is a good thing? I wish the Ed would post what he/she is up to because I am getting more confused by the minute.....pink posts, people banned then still coming back and saying that they have been banned.....names that are referred to as another name by members of people who have been banned but still posting....for a newbie I think this forum is running amok. Its a nice forum but a very confusing one!

I personally think this new Editor seems more likely to sort things out. Perhaps it would be best to delete all questions and answers todate and start again, with emphasis on sticking to the rules and proper moderation in place.

Yes TheGopher....That sounds like a great idea. Especially to all the people who asked a question that they really would have liked an answer to.

Well done Ed - and I hope that you succeed in taking this site back from the small minority of abusers.

I am sure that you have the support of the vast majority (albeit too often silent).

I also hope that you will find the right balance between banter and irrelevant clique chats that fill up Topics like Body and Soul.

I like our New Ed too, so far she seems firm but fair. Of course my attitude will change should she delete/remove/ban one of my posts.............lol

I just really think she's got one helluva long uphill struggle as far as B&S is concerned.

excellent, the smack of firm government. Still, I hope serious, non-sniggering posts can sometimes have an exception made for them. People occasionally ask worried Qs in B&S about their sex lives, for instance, which I think should be allowed to stay. Same for swearing - I once had a post banned for quoting a commentator's racist opinion of a footballer; the words really needed to be used (I put asterisks in them) to show he really was a racist, as not everyone was convinced; but the post was removed anyway. I appreciate why, but I think removing it made the discussion rather pointless.
