Should the links in the Latest Posts section take you to the first page of the thread in question as it does currently, or should it be changed to take you to the last page of the thread?

Leave as is, its not too difficult either way but how many ABers will have just come across a thread then have to click back to the beginning.

That's a point I made on the thread about this Arky, so for some it works better one way for some the other - I tossed a coin for my vote as one click is no bother.

If like some people (not me), you are struggling to access AB on an ancient laptop or via a slow broadband link, then 'just clicking twice' every time you want to return to a thread can be a pain.

I think it makes sense to go to the last page (which of course will be page one for newish threads) - with a single click taking you to any other page if necessary.

I'd prefer last , if I come to a thread late I want to see if it is still on topic before getting involved

I can see the sense of AOG's question. If one posts a question (say in News) and one wishes to answer all replies it would facilitate efforts considerably. (I should worry about such a problem, lol.)

I'd prefer to keep it as it is. It's more sequential that way. Easier to read, I believe.

If it were to take you to the last page, and there was only one reply which was a reply to a previous post, then you'd need to click back to find out what's going on.

That is why I can't see my request being at all successful, some of you anti-AOGs will vote against just to be awkward.

Why we had to have a vote I just don't know, we never had one for the more vast changes that have recently been made to AB.

No, AOG, I don't think clicking back is a better idea. I prefer to read the posts in chronological order - even if there's very little 'logical' about them :D
