After a month they disappear from the front page but, in your profile, you'll find them under the "subscribed" tab.

They drop out of the pod on the right, if that's what you mean Anne?

There might be other situations where subscribed Q's "disappear" - But I can't think of any at the moment.

There is a box to the bottom right (like the latest posts box) with your subscribed threads.
