Is there a time limit on how long questions and answers are left on this board? If so, is there a repository of outdated Qs and As anywhere?

As far as I can see, forever. I can look at my profile, or anyone else's and the history goes back to where I joined.
That should have been when I joined not where.
I think they are all on (apart from threads from banned users or other threads pulled by the Editor). Occasionally someone posts a link on here to the first ever question
my earliest thread i can find in my first name is july 2005

But when I went to the Arts/Lit board there were only 20-odd questions/answers with the last one being a month ago.

So if I am just browsing questions rather than for searching for a particular one, how do I see all the old ones starting from when AB started?
It defaults to tehe most recent questions. You need to click on the Questions Answered tab or is there an All questions tab

These only go back to 2005 so maybe some older ones have been archived off but can still be picked up by a search
That's interesting factor30 - Dec 1st 2000, is that when the Answerbank started, or just Q + P.
you can find all your own questions on your profile
Maybe there are questions going back to 1964 but they got deleted due to the 'millennium bug' year 2000 problem.
I'm not convinced that Mona Lisa question was from 2000 (ed can fudge dates as there is a thread dated 2014) but some members on here have been around many years and may remember when it started
I wonder if this was desktop in 2001- the 1000th question on AB

smiffy --- I wasn't looking for anything in particular, I just wondered what sort of things people were asking about way-back-when!

factor30 --- how on earth did you get that link???
Open the link. And then go to the address bar and where it says Question1000 change the 1000 to whatever number you want. I think it fails though if you choose a number for which the question was deleted. The first 100 or so are all written by ATOB which I assume was an AB tester
"I'm not convinced that Mona Lisa question was from 2000 (ed can fudge dates as there is a thread dated 2014) but some members on here have been around many years and may remember when it started"

Why aren't you sure? We were founded in 2000. It is the first question :)
Dates and Figs can be confusing.

Factor 30 has drawn our attention to ATOB2 who joined AB on Friday Ist December 2000 and he/she's last activity was on the same day; having asked (according to Profile) 155 questions and given 59 answers, all at the same time, without even a badge.

Ron.
2000, it says so at the very bottom plus we used to be ableto see the first questions
and andy hughes was a founder member and posted some of the first questions i believe
this is an early article by ANDY, wonder if the then ed sent him an emailing confirming it's reciept
