That Cafe Noire one where the bloke approaches his (presumably) significant other brandishing a cup of the said beverage and says something like 'I think you're right about that woman at work being jealous of your hair'.

They obviously think that insulting potential customers' intelligence is the way to increase sales.

Bear in mind that the whole point of an advert is for the product to stick in your mind. You posting this topic has shown that this particular advert has worked.

Yes, I see your point squarebear (love your name, BTW) but I actually have on occasion purchased Cafe Noire in the past. The fact that it has stuck in my mind will ensure I won't be doing so in the future.

Most adverts annoy me, directline with Chris Addison and numbskull, the GoCompare ads have run their course surely, please please please.

There are thousands of products and web sites out there. Anything that can be done to make you remember them is a good thing, even if the advert annoys.

I bet if any of us wanted to sell our car through a web site the first one we would go to would be "We buy any car", even though the adverts are awful.

How many of us could name ANOTHER web site where we could sell our car. THAT is the power of advertising.

I'm annoyed by the fact that the original Safestyle UK guy is no longer on - I used to love his ads.! Yes, I know ...
