Fitting extension speakers to a Digital Terrestrial TV Receiver

I have a Sagem DTR 6400T/6700T and want to fit extension speakers to either that or the T.V., I have plugged extension speakers into the red and white sockets at the back of the T.V. and also the DTR but nothing happens

I think these are just line level outputs and need to go to an amplifier to drive your speakers.

Get a amp
Or you could use "Active Speakers" like the ones used on computers. These have a built in amplifier.
