change user name

Is there anyway I can change my user name please - I've only just learned that anyone googling it can find out where I post and there are some people I would prefer not to have access to this information -

We do not change usernames unless it obviously gives away information about you.

Yours does not, so sorry, no you cannot change your username.

it does say something about my identity to those I don't wish to be privy to the info ED - I'm certainly not on the run, just trying to be a bit more private - I honestly hadn't realised that you could google a user name and it would show I posted on AB.

Carmalee I just googled and it only showed two posts from this site, besides shouldn't we all be proud of posting here and be recommending to other people to improve traffic here? I wouldn't be worried unless your a criminal, government worker, bank manager or someone that goes around angering the internets psychopaths.

O go on Ed let her change her name, what harm would it do? I sometimes wish I'd picked something a bit less long winded for my username, but don't worry I don't want to change it!

wrong number I am proud of posting here - it's because I don't want someone from a past relationship googling my user name (it would be known to him) and finding I come on here. Maybe I'll just ask ED to de-activate my account - I presume I just use the 'contact us' at the bottom of the page?
