Morning All,

I've set up a super secret group on Facebook for The AnswerBank, if you'd like to join you need to do the following:

1. Be my friend on Facebook (many of you have already done this)
2. Send me a message on Facebook saying you want to join, with your AB email address included.
3. That's it! I'll check back throughout the day and add members as they apply.

Ed....in simple terms.....what is the function and advantages of a combined AB/Facebook?
Question Author
It isn't combined. They are two sites, but Facebook allows you to use it's credentials for other things - like logging into AB.

And there isn't a massive "advantage" of using both, but as people do, we're trying to accommodate them. You may find this reassuring: http://www.theanswerb...safe-guide/#doihaveto
Ed...so the main advantage is that people who can't (for some reason) log into AB directly, can log in to AB via Facebook...............is that it?
I'm not quite sure why you're so concerned about this, squd. you don't use it so it doesn't effect you.
Question Author
Sorry, and the function in simple terms:

We're allowing users to log in with the Facebook details rather than their AB details.
chuck...it's sqad NOT squid..........I use AB, so any change does affect me........now could you please answer my original question?
Question Author
This is one of the advantages Sqad, but you have to be a member already so it isn't like any user of FB can sign in to AB.
you can check out any time you want....but you may....never leave....

<<<<I've set up a super secret group on Facebook for The AnswerBank>>>

So the above is a sort of "tongue in cheek " statement" a "nudge nudge wink wink " throwaway phrase?
Question Author
In the sense that I will be active on it. But not really "moderated" as it is here. After all, it's wild west country out thar in facebooklund.
Apologies for the misspelling, Sqad

My point is though, as you've said on several occasions that you don't use facebook then the only difference this is going to make to you on AB is you will see a blue connect to facebook button on the login page that won't work for you.

Hardly seems a big deal to me, anyone that doesn't use facebook can continue to use AB in exactly the same way and nothing will change, anyone that does use facebook will have to option (note, option, not forced to!) to authenticate their logigng onto AB by using there facebook credentials.
