Where are the women in that picture?
Woman was walking way behind man - cleaning up the mess that he created.
Lol wolf63!
Hardly. God clearly put the false clues there to be found and conclusions jumped to. Such is his mysterious way.
Thats what women looked like then but after 2.5 million years of pampering and skin treatments they are the perfect specimens of today.
However to answer the question, I don't believe it is, too many egos at stake.
Don't learn do you? That gene was made by the creator for someone to find 2 1/2 millon years later. So at his wonders we could gaze... or something like that, i'm not very good at the creationist argument no doubt someone will be along in a mo'
If creationists can create museums depicting humans hunting dinosaurs I don't think they'll be swayed by this.

I actually think there's a kind of "faith Machimso" thing going on with some of them - almost like a chilli eating contest.

The more improbable event thay they can believe the greater their faith must be and therefore the better they must personally be.
notice the word could ,when this word is use anything can follow ,
I love that picture of the six ages of man.

Starting at the front ...

6. Modern man

5. Croydon commuter

4. Labour voter

3. Professional footballer other than Wayne Rooney

2. Primitive ape

1. Wayne Rooney
joggerjayne,
how dare you put primitive apes lower down the list than Labour voters and professional footballers ?
If I were a primitive ape (OK, don't start), I would be grossly offended.
In this article:
http://www.newscienti...s-become-complex.html

they say:

"Although Polleux and his colleagues have not yet figured out whether the mice were smarter, he says those experiments are in the works. They also plan to put the human genes into a much closer human relative, a marmoset, and see if its behaviour is altered."

What if they have found the dominant key to the development of intelligence in humans and marmoset turns out to be extraordinary?

What if they add another copy of the gene to a human? Could they become super-intellegent?
I hate that image of the chimp slowly evolving into modern man. It was made for the best intentions but it is misleading.
I rather partial to this one myself . . .

I concur with the seventh iteration’s posture ;-)

//the benefit of the duplication would have been instant, meaning human ancestors could have distanced themselves from rival species within a generation. //

Sounds like genetic engineering to me. ;o)

But only for the one 'person' with the additional gene, don't these journos get anything right ...ever.
//Sounds like genetic engineering to me. ;o)//

Or some might argue, "Mo Nature's biggest blunder". ;o)

"Honey, the kids are arguing again."

"Told you this would happen."
Mother nature... Walking upright is useful they can have that... ok God your turn what gift will you give them

God.. let them develop the power of speech Your turn

MN You'll be sorry....

And it came to pass the world spawned those who spoke of deities and it all went downhill from there
What a serious discovery and a really giant leap. I have changed my mind now. I have finally decided to accept that many of you are related to each other and to your cousins who are still jumping on the trees all over the world. Good luck for the generations to come.
