Onwards and Downwards Continues in May
Hi Everyone,
Well it looks like we may actually have some nice weather soon after about a month of rain. Will many of you now be able to get out and about more and hopefully get a bit more exercise?
I know I will!

I do find I feel fuller when I have lots of vegetables with my evening meal. I don't dislike them but I'm not wanting to say more, more, more.
Whooop whooop - despite having visitors to stay this weekend I have lost another 3lbs and reached my first major milestone.
Since joining you in the middle of March I have now lost a stone in weight. Thanks to you all for being here and for giving me the motivation to check in every week.
I managed the weekend by opting for jacket potatoes rather than chips, resisted desserts and just had a coffee after meals. I chose soup for lunches and omelete or salads. I did have a couple of treats so as not to be a party pooper but nothing too naughty and no-one noticed me quietly being careful about what I ate.
Although I still have a long way to go I'm on a journey which is becoming quite a way of life already and i'm delighted with progress so far.
A bunch of tulips for all losers this week.

Lost another two pounds this week so I am a happy bunny. Mr BD retires tomorrow (yipee!!) so we are going to visit our daughter in Birmingham and going out to a chinese buffet restaurant so don't expect any weight loss next week. Will try and select healthy food which is easier with a buffet than with set meals and will try to avoid the chocolate fountain and all those gorgeous deserts. My scales are always different to the surgery scales but who cares - a loss is a loss. I weigh myself as soon as I get out of bed as you are always heavier in the evenings. I really must try getting out more and just walking which is easy and cheap but we are in the middle of decorating and want to get it finished before we go away. Have promised Mr BD that I will walk round the fishing lake twice a day while we are away. Good luck to everyone else for next week.
Well done Maid you are on the right track.
Well done BD . I don't seem to have time to get everything done since I retired. Don't know how I managed when I was at work to fit it all in. We tend to keep the chinese restaurant for family outings and yes I just need to look at the choc fountain. They do an ice swan sculputer here full of fruit and guess what my kids done to me on my 65th with the chinese girls singing Happy birthday. Enjoy your meal you know how to rectify it.

well done to everyone. You are all doing better than me but at least Im staying the same at the moment. Just cannot seem to get back down half stone that I lost and keep yoyo -ing within in. But talking about exercise, I already go to zumba 2-3 times a week and cycle to and from work and around about. But on May 24 we start our new challenge at work for 16 weeks. Ive got my bike pedometer and my personal pedometer at the ready. I cant wait for it to start and hopefully lose some weight or even inches !
Good luck to you all
Good luck to you all
Good Morning All,
My hubby has been quite poorly for the last week so I have been using that excuse to comfort myself through food. Now he is on the mend and I have gone up 1 kilo....so much for my sillyness. I shall be on the naughty step this week and will be contemplating my sillyness. Hopefully I will be alone there.
Onwards and downwards.....

I'm pleased to hear hubby's on the mend xstitcher, that's the main thing, but sorry to see you on the step.
I've had no change this week, but I'm pleased with that because I had a couple of lapses this week. Being so flippin' cold and wet over the Bank Holiday I ate some comfort food here and there. I do find it harder when I'm off work and surrounded by more choices. French stick, tea cakes, even had half a portion of chips, so I'm lucky not to have gained and am back on track again today. Good luck to you all for your weigh ins today.
