DVD+rw

Is it necessary to finish a DVD+RW. My DVD Recorder will not let me highlight this option on the DISK menu.

DVD+RW - Finishing Off

I've just brought a DVD Recorder which uses the + Format. The manual indicates that to make the DVD + RW playable on other players you must "finish" it. Yet when I go to the Disk menu the " Finish"...
