Rover 75 good buy or not?

I'm thinking of getting a rover 75 preferably with less than 60'000 miles on the clock. Can anyone advise me of reliability and are parts expensive or limited. Actually i like Alfa 156's too, same...

replacing a gear knob on a rover 75

i have just aquired a new wooden(wow) gear knob for my rover 75, can anybody tell me how in gods name i take the old rover factory fitted one off.......many thanks marc
