'blues' By Ritchie Blackmore / Rainbow / Deep Purple

Hi. I know that Rainbow On Stage incorporates the above (the track 2 medley) but was 'Blues' ever done by Ritchie as part of Deep Purple? And, if so, on which album? Many thanks....

If a band is miming on a TV show the drummer obviously can't be silent. How is that managed and what drum sounds do the studio audience hear - live or recorded?
