GED file extension

My friend has received an email with an attachment which has the file extension .GED. She cannot open the files. Can anyone explain how to do it? Many thanks.

Mouse curser will not move

My friend using Win98 on a 7 year old desktop finds that the mouse cursor will suddenly lock up. There is no option but a hard shut down. It is a ps2 connected mouse. Any ideas please.
