Burning CDs into MIDI format

Please forgive my ignorance, but is there any easy way of burning songs off my cds into MDI format, instead of MP3? I'm struggling to change the recording format, trying both WMP and/or REAL player....

Can anyone recommend a site that provides cheap (preferably free!!!) poly tones that are comptable with the new LG U8120 (3 network)??? Most of my old favourite sites don't have anything for this...

everytime I try to download smileys, regardless of which site I go thru, i get as far as the 'initializing' screen, and it just freezes. Is there a quick solution to this, or is there an alternative...
