Yale Lock

The key will lock and unlock the door from the inside but from the outside it will only lock the door, the key wont turn to the left to open the door. Any ideas would be appreciated....

When existing music in the unit is played back there are no problems. But, recently when any new stuff is recorded and then played back the playback is very distorted. New batteries have not helped....
