VW Golf Mk3 X-Reg - smoke from exhaust pipe

Hi, can someone tell me what smoke blowing out from my exhaust pipes might mean? Even when it is warmed up and on idle there is a small but constant amount of smoke.... ??? it dosen't look serious...
