my cars is booked in for a mot, but the mot runs out a few days short of it. so because my cars is booked in can i drive my car around, my other half says i can is this true?

deleted images

i accidently deleted a load of pictures of my digital camera the other day, is there a way of recovering them. they were on the internal memory, and the camera has not been used since.
