microsoft office

I have a problem with microsoft office xp standard not opening some office 2003 professional documents is this a known problem and what do I need to do to get around it?

Is thers a known problem with the A class where if you get a blown seal the engine has to be removed because of a build up of carbon around the pistons resulting in the injector being replaced?
