Ticks On Dog.

We have just bathed my dog as he seemed to be scratching himself a lot. We have discovered he has ticks. Has anyone got any good suggestions of what we can use on him to get them out?

we need to buy a new mattress as ours is in tatters and giving us bad backs. what is the best sort of mattress to buy i.e. spring? pocket sprung? latex? memory foam etc?? many thanks
